Our teens of Inspirations for Youth and Families (IYF) drug and alcohol rehab are back at it and have learned to prepare another fantastic and tasty recipe! From our educational program’s Life Skills & Nutrition course our teens were taught how to create delicious and healthy burritos.
This kind of activity helps to reinforce what our teens have been taught on nutrition and fosters team work with their fellow classmates. Teens are also taught real life skills by learning how to prepare fresh and healthy meals or snacks for themselves.
Meat of any choice
Cheese (of any choice)
Pico de gallo
Sour cream and onion
How to make a burrito:
1.Place a few drops of water on the tortilla and bake in 350 degree oven for 10 mins
2.Spoon fillings onto the tortilla just below the center
3.Fold the opposite sides in and over the fills
4.Roll burrito from the bottom until closed
5.Bake burrito with the seam sides down for another 10-12 minutes in 350 degree oven
