Every Thursday the teen girls in our rehab program get ready to take on the trendy and fun Latin inspired aerobic workout known as Zumba. Our girls are being taught these awesome moves by Zumba veteran Natalia.
Zumba Fitness with Natalia
Natalia is a former accountant turned Zumba instructor who has been teaching for six years. Her clients include various country clubs, private sessions and institutions such as Inspirations for Youth and Families. She took Zumba classes to stay fit and it quickly became a passion that allows her to spend more time with her now fourteen year old daughter.
“I like teaching the girls because it’s a fun and upbeat way to relieve stress. I started taking Zumba when I was going through a stressful time in my life. After leaving class I always felt relieved and I want to help these girls to do the same.” – Natalia
Zumba combines aerobic workouts with different styles of Latin and American dance. This combination of fitness and dancing provides a fun and empowering approach to being healthy and fit.

This and other forms of recreational therapy helps our teens to relieve stress and express themselves in productive and healthy forms. Our rehab program strives to provide teens with a multitude of methods they can use to cope and learn healthy habits.
