Inspirations for Youth and Families congratulates Wes Shelton, the South Florida Inspiration Award recipient for the Dolphins vs. Panthers game on November 24, 2013. Wes recently completed a 3 year tenure as Board Chairman for The Heart Gallery of Broward County and has served on the Board for more than 5 years. During his time on the Board, the Heart Gallery facilitated over 125 permanent adoptions of children in foster care, many of whom were difficult placements due to age or disability.

Wes is also the executive producer of The Coppice Project, a full-length feature documentary about life in foster care. The film will be written and directed by Emmy-award winning filmmaker William J. Saunders and will be released in 2015.

Wes graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Psychology and also obtained an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. He works as a Mergers and Acquisitions and Commercial Real Estate consultant and also serves on the board of directors for the National Christian Foundation of South Florida. Wes is married with two children.
