alternative treatment aromatherapy

Shannon creating her lotion using lavender, sweet orange and rosemary oil.

Our teens at Inspirations for Youth and Families recently got the chance to try their hand at aromatherapy as an alternative treatment. Essentials oils were the very first form of medicine used to cure a wide range of ailments. Modern medicine is the forefront of healing today however essential oils are still being used for therapeutic purposes.

During this aromatherapy session our teens learned the importance of these oils as well the array of ailments they cure. Our teens were also taught how to effectively create a lotion based on the oils of their choice.
