The Inspirations Educational Program recognizes troubled teens and the inextricable relationship between drug abuse and academic performance. In response, Inspirations Teen Rehab has created an individualized academic program approach to working with teens in rehab. The classroom setting provides for individualized attention and focus on each teens’ academic goals.
In doing so we challenged one of our teens to build a plan for his future. Gary has a great dream of being the next “IT” designer and a top musical star. In order to achieve these dreams we gave Gary a very unique and interesting project.
Build Your Dream Project
Our educators at The Inspirations Academy decided to create a fun and challenging project in order to inspire our teen clients to follow a pathway to attain their dreams. This project requires a teen to pick what they wish to achieve or the career path they would like in life and devise the best plan or course of action to complete this life goal.
We decided the first teen to try this project would be none other than Gary, a teen you may all know from our Inspirations Talent Show. Gary spent two weeks research and compiling the necessary data to achieve the goals he set out to accomplish. With this in mind, Gary created a business plan and model for his future company GC House of Fashion!
Gary has dreams of becoming a fashion designer as well as a music producer. But for now, he is concentrating on his men and women’s apparel brand. Gary envisions it to be an all-inclusive line that caters to both plus-sized men and women. He has targeted specific events such as Black History Month to create designs that reflect the feel and flavor of the theme. Perhaps, one of the most creative parts of his collection is his Germa-phobe jacket.
Gary also designed a shaffon jacket, evening wear dresses, men’s jeans, and urban styled wear. He considers his products to be light and airy to attract consumers to be comfortable while looking in style.
