To better inform everyone, we had a round table discussion with teens from Inspirations for Youth and Families about drug and street terms everyone may want to know. The definition below is based on collective information gathered from teens within our rehab and online research.

T.N.T (n.) – Street term for the synthetic opiate Fentanyl.

Teen Opiate Addiction

Opiate substances like Fentanyl are prescribed to treat severe or chronic pain. They operate through the same receptors as drugs such heroin do causing them to be equally addictive. Most teens are usually addicted to T.N.T because they were unaware the substance they were taking was laced with fentanyl. This is a common occurrence these days as more and more reports are suffering about fentanyl abuse.
