Drug and street term: Jonesing

To better inform everyone, we had a roundtable discussion with teens from Inspirations for Youth and Families about drug and street terms everyone may want to know. The definition below is based on collective information gathered from teens within our rehab and online research.

Jonesing (v.) – a term used for wanting something really bad, usually drugs or alcohol.

Inspirations Drug Abuse Treatment

Inspirations teen drug abuse treatment helps their teen clients along with their families to build a strong system of support and accountability. While here teens are taught how to be responsible for their actions as well as their choices. Through our many therapeutic options teens are also able to freely express themselves and work through their issues.

Along with their therapeutic sessions teens are taught new and positive habits to counter the ones they have established from drug abuse. One method of doing so is to also learn coping skills. These prevent our teens from using drugs and alcohol as an escape for their frustrations. The road to sobriety is not an easy one but Inspirations prides itself on getting teens and their families for each step or phase of recovery. This ensures that our teens can remain sober for longer and lead a healthier life.
