Lauderdale, FL, October 12, 2016Inspirations for Youth and Families (IYF) teen substance abuse and mental health treatment center has officially earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Healthcare Accreditation. IYF attained the distinction by exceeding behavioral healthcare performance standards. The Gold Seal of Approval symbolizes quality and effective care that reflects an organization’s dedication to providing the most efficient and safe services possible.

IYF underwent a rigorous onsite survey during the review process. At this juncture a Joint Commission expert surveyor evaluated IYF’s compliance applying a set of standards that focus on the integration and coordination of person-centered health care as a benchmark.

“We are elated to receive the coveted Behavioral Health Home Certification from the Joint Commission – the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation,” said Karen Corcoran-Walsh, founder and owner of IYF.
