Since 1989, Chris Evert’s efforts have contributed over $21.9 million in an ongoing campaign against drug abuse and child neglect in Florida. With the help of loyal and generous sponsors, participating celebrities, legions of volunteers and a dedicated staff, Chris Evert continues to raise money to fund programs that ensure a bright future for at-risk children and their families.
For more than two decades, tennis player and South Florida philanthropist Chris Evert has hosted the event to raise funds to ensure a bright future for at-risk children and their families in Florida. Chris Evert Charities partners with the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida, a public-private partnership combining state and private dollars and investing them in innovative, community-based programs that give Florida children a chance to live their lives free from the negative effects of drug abuse and neglect. More than $20 million has been raised since the inaugural event in 1989.
“Thanks to people like you, the donation you make can and will make a direct impact on the lives of people searching for the tools to end the cycle of dependency, abuse and neglect.” Chris Evert said. “Together we are saving lives by creating futures. People have the ability to change and, given confidence and support, they often do.”
“We have been a proud sponsor of the Chris Evert Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis tournament for many years,” said Karen Corcoran-Walsh, founder of Inspirations for Youth and Families teen rehab as well as the Cove Center for Recovery adult rehab. “It is a perfect fit for us considering the tournaments emphasis on helping youth with drug and alcohol dependence.”
We want to thank Chris Evert and her entire organization for allowing us to be a part of her amazing events!
