Lydie Regis

Lydie Regis was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She later moved to Connecticut to attend the University of New Haven, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with an outside concentration in Juvenile and Family Services.  After returning home to Miami, she received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida International University.

Lydie began her career as an intern at a private practice in the field of geriatrics. Later, she obtained experience in a residential substance abuse facility, while working at The Village. As a care coordinator and therapist, she facilitated group therapy sessions, individual therapy sessions, and managed about 15 clients and assessed their needs.

As a therapist at Inspirations, Lydie leads both individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions. In her individual sessions, she addresses issues that relate to anger, anxiety, and depression. The sessions also focus on the teens’ concerns and their past trauma, while teaching coping skills. In Lydie’s group sessions, the teens develop relapse prevention plans and safety plans to assure that there is no self-harm.

In her free time, Lydie enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys volunteering in her community and mentoring at-risk adolescent girls.
