As the clinical director, Karen is responsible for providing 24-hour management of all clinical functions of the facility. Karen also oversees the entire admission and clinical intake process. Another responsibility for Karen is providing effective leadership to the clinical staff, knowledge of the organization, marketing support for the facility, and direction of all activities within the facility in accordance with the standards of State and Federal regulations.
Karen has had nine years of therapy experience ranging from hospitals, in-patient facilities, community mental health agencies, and both private and non-profit residential treatment centers. Karen’s additional experience involves an internship at Broward General Medical Center. She also served as a clinical director at a non-profit behavioral health facility.
Karen is currently studying for the MCAP and Trauma certification. She is multi-dimensional family therapy trained and has applied Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy.
She has also received her BA in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and her MA in Mental Health Counseling from Nova University.
Karen is from Fort Lauderdale and is an avid basketball fan especially of the Miami Heat. She enjoys traveling and has a Dachshund named Missy.
